Everton team news: Sean Dyche reveals positive squad update ahead of Brighton, although attacker remains out.

The Everton manager addressed before of his side’s Premier League game against Brighton this weekend.

Everton’s Sean Dyche has declared a mostly fit squad for the game against Brighton, however Vitalyi Mykolenko suffered a knock during training this week.

The Toffees have struggled with recent results, including a dismal 1-1 home draw with Crystal Palace on Monday night. Despite their superior goal difference, they are currently four points behind Nottingham Forest in 16th position, preventing them from relegation.

The next step is a journey to the south coast to face Brighton. Dyche’s team won a remarkable, season-defining 5-1 victory at the Amex Stadium at a similar point of the season last year, and a repeat performance would be an incredible feat once more.

Dyche stated that there were no fresh injury concerns, but that defender Vitalyi Mykolenko had taken a hit this week. However, he has been training and believes he will be ready for the weekend’s action.

Another defender who should be alright is Seamus Coleman; he missed the game against Palace owing to sickness, but Dyche says he has been training and will return. Key player Abdoulaye Doucoure has also performed well in this week’s training after returning to the squad after a few weeks away. Dyche emphasized the significance of monitoring his minutes, and he is ready to go again.

Andre Gomes’ season has been interrupted by a recurring calf injury. He hasn’t played since scoring the FA Cup winner against Palace, and his return date is unknown. Loanee Arnaut Danjuma has missed the last three games and is expected to miss another with an ankle injury, limiting Dyche’s offensive options. Additionally, Dele Alli has been missing for an extended period.

Roberto De Zerbi is still missing a few key players, including Solly March, who has been sidelined since October with a knee injury and may not return this season. Another advantage for Everton is that their top scorer, Joao Pedro, is also out with a muscular problem.

Despite being on the mend, talented winger Julio Enciso is likely to miss out on this match, which comes far too soon for the Paraguayan. James Milner, a former Liverpool midfielder, has missed the last three games due to a thigh problem and is expected to be absent again. Jack Hinshelwood, one of their talented young guns, may also be unavailable due to an injury that has kept him out of the last few games.
