Everton takeover: 777 Partners should be deemed unsuitable as ‘disgrace’ emerges in Europe.
According to The Esk, 777 Partners should be immediately rejected as Everton’s new owners.
On Tuesday (20 February), RTBF reported that Standard Liege has been paying salaries late for three months in a row.
The Belgian club is owned by 777, and the investment firm’s ownership of Goodison Park has yet to be approved by Premier League.
On Wednesday (21 February), The Esk wrote about 777: “Their treatment of employees is a disgrace and should immediately deem them unsuitable, especially in a city such as Liverpool with its proud history of fighting for worker’s rights.”
Everton to move forward with 777 deal?
Everton have simply had too many difficulties in recent years, with incidents occurring both on and off the pitch at Goodison Park.
The Toffees’ intended takeover by 777 has been delayed, adding to their list of concerns.
It’s unclear if the project will be completed, which will be frustrating for Goodison fans.
They have had a rough ride due to the takeover concerns and, of course, the points deduction imposed on the club earlier this season.
It appeared that things could not have gotten much worse at Everton since Farhad Moshiri was in charge, but 777 does not appear to have a good reputation.
The Toffees should listen to their followers on this critical issue, but it appears that supporters have been kept in the dark regarding the club’s future.
