Rangers told momentum means NOTHING as 2 Celtic turning points pinpointed that ‘will decide the title’
Former Ibrox star Charlie Adam has forecast twists and turns before the end of the Premiership battle.
Charlie Adam has allowed that the present momentum behind Rangers could “all change” as he talked up Celtic’s title hopes.
Philippe Clement’s side have climbed the Scottish Premiership summit as they knocked the Hoops off their perch with pressure increasing on Brendan Rodgers’ side to rapidly revive their stuttering campaign. However, former Ibrox midfielder Adam reckons that the title race is far from over with two key derby day meetings to contest.
The Scotland cap feels that Rodgers will be able to oversee a fightback from Celtic despite rising criticism from the fans of the boss, board and players after there recent missteps in the league saw the Hoops toss away and eight-point advantage over the Light Blues. The Fleetwood Town boss told PLZ: “Celtic have gone through a tough period but you’ve got to expect them to bounce back with the size of football club they are. They are not going to lie down.
“They are going to be at it and there still a few more Old Firm games left to go. I don’t see that there is an obvious favourite.
“There is a little amount of momentum with Rangers at the moment but that may all change. I think both teams will be doing that they can to effect each game and when the Old Firm games come round ultimately that is normally what decides the title. This year possibly more than most those games will decide the title.”
