The playmaker was at Rangers last season and now could bank them even more cash.

Malik Tillman might be worth a seven-figure sum to Rangers as PSV prepares to extend his stay in the Netherlands.

The playmaker joined Ibrox on loan from Bayern Munich last year. Rangers had the option to buy, which they appeared to be taking advantage of under then-manager Michael Beale. The German behemoths purchased their way out of it by paying a £1 million upfront charge and agreed to a 10% share of any future sales.

Now, the American international has made an impression in the Eridivise. He also appeared in this week’s Champions League round of 16 match between PSV and Borussia Dortmund, drawing 1-1.

It is now claimed that the Dutch will spend around £12 million to keep him for the long haul. Rangers will collect a further £1.2 million on top of the seven figures they have already garnered from Tillman.

He stated: “For me, it always comes down to playing time or prospects.” Hopefully, next summer, I’ll look back on the second season in which I consistently played at a good level since joining Rangers last year.

“That is how I want to see it continue. The environment is very pleasant. We’ve gotten incredibly close as a team. Everyone enjoys themselves, even the manager and the workers. We just enjoy playing football, and you can see it in us.

“I also believe we play really attractively. Peter Bosz has a certain plan, which we try to follow. It’s all about intensity, both with and without the ball.
