News of the Everton takeover: Unfavorable reports about 777 Partners will persist in spreading.

As they seek approval to finalize their Everton takeover, Dan Plumley has stated that it will not be good to have yet another negative article about 777 Partners.

Matt Hughes revealed this week that 777 has been making a lot of layoffs in Miami and London, and that the proposed takeover is still on hold.

The football finance specialist acknowledged that more bad news would probably surface until the Premier League made a decision about the takeover.

He exclusively told Goodison News, “No, again, it’s just another negative story in the mix with Everton.”

“We keep reiterating that this takeover needs to cross the line, and whether it’s 777 or someone else, there is still a need for a takeover in the background. We’re nearly at a loss for words right now.

“This ongoing hold-up, these persistent rumors about 777, and the dearth of information we can observe are still quite concerning. Until that sale is completed, people will continue to investigate these unflattering rumors, and with good reason.

“Whether or not this is happening behind the scenes, we don’t know, but from a PR standpoint, it doesn’t look great, and that is not great for the club moving forward in what is already a fairly precarious situation given everything else that is going on. It will have a negative impact on the takeover as well.”

777 Partners and the curious case of the Everton takeover

Given the warnings that have been issued, it is difficult to remain impartial about the current state of affairs at Goodison Park.

In other Everton news, following a recent disagreement, Chris Sutton chastised a Toffees player and urged him to quiet speaking.
