Mason Holgate has no future at Everton as new Sean Dyche details emerges – Sources.

Football Insider has been informed by sources that Mason Holgate will not be staying at Everton under Sean Dyche’s management.

The 27-year-old defender’s loan at Southampton was decided upon well in advance of the transfer window, but it is said that the manager had no desire to bring him back in January.

Football Insider reported on December 11 that Everton intended to find Holgate a new team by terminating his loan to the Saints due to a severe lack of playing time.

Since then, he has made a temporary move to Sheffield United, a struggling Premier League team, where he has made three straight starts under Chris Wilder.

Mason Holgate has no future at Everton, according to Sean Dyche, who has made his position clear.

But, he was shown a straight red card just 13 minutes into the Blades’ 5-0 loss on Sunday, February 18, for a careless high challenge on Brighton attacker Kaoru Mitoma.

For as long as he is in charge of the Merseyside giants, Dyche is unlikely to utilize him as a regular first-team player given his difficulties at Everton, his inability to make a name for himself in the Championship, and his unsatisfactory start at Bramall Lane.

Holgate has only made 19 appearances in all competitions for the three clubs since the beginning of the previous season, 15 of which have come in the starting lineup.
After Monday night’s 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace, Everton is now ranked 17th in the Premier League standings (19 February).

Their next game is this Saturday afternoon (February 24) at the Amex versus the Seagulls.
