Rangers striker Danilo continued to create anticipation for his return from injury with a series of Instagram updates from the club’s Training Centre.
The 24-year-old Brazilian striker is recovering from a knee injury that interrupted his season in December.
Philippe Clement has stated that Danilo would not be risked this season unless he proves his fitness, with the goal of making an impact in the final stages.
Rangers fans are hoping to witness the £6 million summer signing from Feyenoord before the end of the season.
Danilo steps up injury return
Danilo took to Instagram to share an image of himself returning to the club’s training facility and progressing in his recovery from injury.
The Brazilian attacker has seen his debut season in Glasgow ruined by the problem, but he stays unfazed and optimistic in the face of it.
Uploading videos of himself working hard to restore fitness represents a significant improvement over the player’s early recuperation.
Danilo has struggled with injuries since joining Ibrox.
The attacker sustained a face fracture in an early-season victory against St Johnstone and was had to wear a protective mask as a result.
In total, the striker has six goals and five assists in 21 Rangers appearances.
Rangers resolving medical issues
As Danilo progresses in his recovery from injury, the Rangers’ medical difficulties are gradually returning to normal.
Some of these issues persist and are primarily concentrated in the offensive zone of the pitch.
Danilo is, however, further away from a return than teammate striker Kemar Roofe, who might still have a significant impact this season.
Abdallah Sima, who suffered an injury with Senegal at AFCON, is currently a month into a two- to three-month recovery period.
Ben Davies, who just returned to the B squad, was joined by Zak Lovelace and Leon Balogun in a match against Carlisle United.
