RANGERS REPORT – ‘Shocking’ Rangers player development on the cards

Manager Gareth Southgate may surprise Rangers goalkeeper Jack Butland by calling him back to the England team, the Daily Mail reports.

On Monday, February 19, the tabloid stated on its website that Southgate is worried about his backup goalkeeping choices to Jordan Pickford.

In a friendly matchup with Brazil and Belgium early next month, the Three Lions will get ready for Euro 2024 this summer.

Will Butland, a star for the Rangers, rejoin the England team?
Butland has been incredibly effective since moving to Ibrox in the summer, so it wouldn’t be shocking if he were to rejoin the England team given his current form.

Considering the goalie had never played before moving to Glasgow and the enormous shoes he had to fill following the retirement of great player Allan McGregor, this is a remarkable circumstance.

However, Butland has been working hard and finishing the job; his efforts in goal have been vital in enabling Rangers get back to the top of the Scottish Premiership standings.
Southgate is not the only person who is intrigued; the Three Lions boss must now make a significant decision regarding his goalkeeping choices.

With Nick Pope of Newcastle United out with an injury, Aaron Ramsdale and Sam Johnstone of Arsenal and Crystal Palace, respectively, have not played as many minutes as they should, raising concerns for the man in the dugout.
