The Celtic star has not played in the last couple of matches and exit is on the agenda.
According to reports, Liel Abada is eager to leave Celtic, as the player is reportedly “unsettled” at Parkhead.
Amidst the conflict between his nation and Hamas, Israeli winger Brendan Rodgers has declared that he is not in the appropriate frame of mind to play for the Hoops at this time. Earlier this month, he made his Premiership debut against Hibs.
Abada has not played for Kilmarnock or St Mirren in any of the games after that. The majority of transfer windows are closed worldwide, but MLS teams are keeping a close eye on the player who signed with Celtic in 2021 when managed by Ange Postecoglou.
According to The Scottish Sun, negotiations to determine Abada’s future will allegedly occur ‘in the coming days’ between the club and his agent. It is said that a number of US clubs are keeping tabs on his development.
Although Rodgers had hinted at the possibility of a loan exit, it is thought that a permanent departure is the more likely course of action. But in the MLS, laws pertaining to designated players might make a deal “complicated.” Moving on, Abada is ‘eager’ after growing ‘increasingly uneasy.’
“I’ve had lots of conversations with Liel and I’m really empathetic towards the issue he has,” stated Rodgers last week. It goes beyond only football. Because it’s on a human level, I have to accept it.
He’s working hard and training, but right now is all about the mind, so I can’t take any chances with him if you’re not quite ready or right. First and foremost, we must always stand behind the player, and it is my responsibility to keep the team safe.
It’s continuing; we’ll evaluate it to determine its current state. He’ll be able to give us everything when the time comes, if at all.
