Sunderland Take Decision On Manager Post After Michael Beale Exit

Sunderland will put Mike Dodds in charge until the end of the season after sacking Michael Beale, according to Sky Sports News.

Earlier in the season, the Black Cats made a controversial decision by firing well-liked manager Tony Mowbray to make room for former Rangers player Beale.

Beale has only lasted 12 games in the dugout, and Sunderland is letting him go because they are not satisfied with his performance.

The Black Cats still have a chance to finish in the playoffs and win the championship, so they need to prepare for the remainder of the season.

Since a decision has already been taken on Beale’s immediate future, they will not be moving to replace him.

Rather, Sunderland will go to Dodds, who served as interim manager earlier in the campaign.

Sunderland will have time to decide what they want to do because Dodds will be in control of the team until the end of the current campaign.

It remains to be seen if Dodds can make enough of an impression while under pressure to enter the competition for the position on a permanent basis.
