Jonny McFarlane has predicted that Dujon Sterling would bring in a lot of money for Rangers if they nurture him well before offloading him.

The 24-year-old was signed in the summer to cover full-back duties, but after being forced into action for the Viaplay Cup final due to Jose Cifuentes’ suspension, he has shown greater promise as a midfield player.

After quickly fading into oblivion early in the season, Sterling has proven to be a slow burn at Ibrox but is beginning to appear more and more like one of the success stories of the summer overhaul under Michael Beale.
It says more about Beale than it does about Sterling that it took the former Ibrox manager—who was just fired by Sunderland for the second time this season—to quit the team in order for the free transfer arrival to have his opportunity.
Though it still has a ways to go before the player trade model at Ibrox matches the consistent profits earned at Celtic, Sterling might help change that if things go as planned moving forward.
After all, a fair transfer fee to move on—possibly back to England—would constitute a clear win for all parties if the club can get a few more seasons out of him as he keeps developing on his current trajectory.
