Everton to terminate Dele Alli contract as Goodison deal baffles former employee

Mistake’ – King predicts Everton to terminate contract of player who’s baffled him.

Dele Alli’s contract might be terminated by Everton, said former Goodison Park scout Bryan King.

Following a string of injury setbacks, Toffees manager Sean Dyche acknowledged that the player still had “a long way to go”

[Liverpool Echo, February 13]. This forecast follows his admission.

King calls the choice to sign the 27-year-old from Tottenham a “mistake” and believes the player has no future at the Goodison

Park team.

S”I don’t think he’s going to be beneficial for the fight to stay up,” King said, peaking to Goodison News. I’m still figuring out how

he gets hurt when he isn’t playing, but these things inevitably happen.

“I don’t see him playing for Everton in the future, and I believe that bringing him in was a mistake in the first place.

It was just, in my opinion, a bad decision for him.

“Something is going to occur, possibly the contract being terminated. They won’t be spending an additional

£10 million, that much is certain.

Everton frustration for Alli

Alli has had a dreadful couple of years, and he surely deserves some good fortune given his struggles both on and off the field.

However, whether that good fortune comes to Goodison Park remains to be seen, as the former England ace appears to be a long

way from a comeback.

TalkSPORT’s Ally McCoist expressed sympathy for Alli, a quality player who may never play for the Toffees again.
