Everton: Robbie Savage makes new relegation prediction live on air after Luton defeat.

Following Luton’s 2-1 loss to Manchester United, Robbie Savage has predicted that Everton will be demoted from the Premier

League along with Sheffield United and Burnley at the end of the current campaign.

The former midfielder for Leicester, who lost to Manchester United at Kenilworth Road, supported Luton to maintain their lead over Sean Dyche’s team.

Chris Sutton still projected the Hatters to lose, but Luton has won a lot of credit for their efforts this season as they have presented a formidable challenge.

Savage made the following prediction when speaking on BBC Radio 5 Live [18 February, 18:52]: “I’ll go with Sheffield United,

Burnley, and I think I’m going to go with Everton.” As Sutton revealed: “I’m going to stick with what I said at the start of the season, with Luton [to go down], I’ll go with Everton.””

Luton Town could stay up at the expense of Everton

With more possession and shots than Manchester United, Luton produced a performance that gave hope to those who were

betting on them to remain up this season, even though the final result at Kenilworth Road was not in doubt.

Their performances have given rise to speculation that they could edge Everton to survival, and their match on May 4th is expected to be pivotal and possibly decisive in terms of relegation.

It could also be crucial for Everton to play Crystal Palace in the Premier League as we wait to learn the outcome of the points

deduction appeal. A victory may narrow the gap between the Eagles and Dyche’s squad to just two points, as they currently lead by five points.

Since none of the contending teams are in control of their own fate, it is unfortunate that the relegation struggle may eventually be determined by point deductions rather than the skill on display on the field.
