Tom English slams Celtic fans live on BBC Scotland with the Rangers decision.

Tom English has slammed Celtic fans for having a “sense of entitlement” in a close contest with Rangers for the Scottish

Premiership title.

The Hoops have won nine of the last ten Scottish Premiership seasons, with the Gers edging out their Old Firm opponents for the title in 2020/21.

Rangers now have a chance to dethrone Celtic in the league after defeating Ross County on Wednesday, 14 February, and the

campaign appears to be coming to an end.

During a live interview with BBC Scotland’s Sportsound on Saturday, February 17, English stated that some Celtic fans may feel entitled.

“They do not want a title race. They have won all of their titles, with the exception of Rangers, with relative ease.

Some Celtic fans dislike the fact that there is a genuine title competition now, and they are reacting negatively to it.

Rangers blow the title race wide open

Celtic’s reaction only confirms one thing: Rangers pose a serious threat to their title chances this season.

Under Michael Beale,

the Gers appeared to have given up the Scottish Premiership crown.

However, there has been an extraordinary turnaround since Philippe Clement’s appointment, and the two teams now have the

same number of points at the top of the league heading into the weekend games.

Rangers fans have reason to be excited, as the Belgian is likely to focus on his squad and their potential effect, rather than the table.

The league will undoubtedly come down to the next Old Firm derby, with neither team set to face any other opposition before the rivals clash at Ibrox in April.

Rangers are bound for success this season, with the potential to win the Scottish Premiership or possibly make an impact in the European League.
