Rangers: Tom English sends Gers message to Celtic board live on BBC.
After their 1-1 draw with Kilmarnock, Tom English claims that Celtic supporters are no longer in a position to make fun of their Rangers counterparts.
On Saturday, February 17, Celtic’s poor play continued at home as David Watson’s late goal negated Kyogo Furuhashi’s opening goal.
If Rangers defeat St Johnstone on Sunday, February 18, they will now be able to take the lead in the Scottish Premiership.
Reporter English stated on BBC Radio Scotland [February 17, 5:13 p.m.]: “I believe there is a lot of blame to go around.”
“Everyone on the board, including Dermot Desmond, Michael Nicholson, Peter Lawwell, and others, is making terrible blunders.
“Recruiting is essentially nonexistent, but Celtic fans will lose their minds over this because Brendan Rodgers doesn’t get a pass.
“They anticipate winning the league,” They weren’t anticipating a challenge from the Rangers, so it won’t happen to them every year.
“They’re used to mocking Rangers and having great fun in mocking Rangers. There’s no laughing matter now for them and they don’t like it.”
Rangers finally have chance to usurp Celtic in Scottish Premiership
Rangers now have a chance to go clear atop the division by the end of the weekend after having to play catch up for so long.
Recall that even though they still had games left to play, the Light Blues were behind by nine points at the end of December.
Rangers have played almost flawlessly since Philippe Clement took over, while Celtic are losing ground left, right, and center.
It happens so frequently that one side makes a mistake and the other team follows suit, but the Gers do not appear to be in that situation at the moment.
While nobody is taking St Johnstone lightly, you would fully expect Clement’s team to win this match.
After their second Old Firm victory of the season, Celtic supporters believed they had the title locked up, but the Gers might yet have the last laugh.
