‘The Star’ Wars: How Will Micah Be Used by Cowboys New ‘Yoda’?

Micah Parsons most likely did not have a Force-fueled vision from a ghost of Dallas Cowboys past upon Mike Zimmer’s return to

the Pokes, but it is not out of line to refer to the recently reinstated defensive coordinator as “The Star’s Yoda.”

During Zimmer’s first 13 years in Texas (1994-2006), he oversaw the development of some of Dallas’ most renowned defensive

players (Darren Woodson, DeMarcus Ware, Roy Williams).

He now has the opportunity to work with one of the best players in not only North Texas, but the NFL as a whole, as the current

Cowboys boast Micah Parsons, one of the deadliest defenders pro football has to offer amidst an offensive revolution.

“One of the things I would hate to do right now is to tell you how I’m thinking about playing him without talking to him and

letting him think, ‘OK, this is what we’re thinking about doing with you, Micah,'” Zimmer told reporters. “I don’t think shouldn’t tell you guys first before I tell him.”

Despite Parsons’ numerous triumphs, Zimmer still regards the valuable defender as prime clay.

“He’s a terrific player,” Zimmer said. “You watch him on tape, and he makes some incredible athletic plays. You know, at this

point, at this level, I’m trying to find out how to get the coaches in here so that we can sit down.” “And then?”Star Wars can begin with “Yoda” leading the way.
