Philippe Clement anticipating a “special” day away for the Rangers
Philippe Clement anticipating a “special” day away for the Rangers
Rangers have won eight games in a row – seven since the winter break
When Philippe Clement’s highly successful Rangers team travels to McDiarmid Park on Sunday to take
on St Johnstone, he is excited about another “special” away day.
Since taking over from Michael Beale in October, the Belgian manager has revitalized the Ibrox team.
The Light Blues are competing with Old Firm rivals Celtic at the top of the Scottish Premiership, having
also secured a last-16 spot in the Europa League and the Viaplay Cup.
In the last eight games, Rangers have won seven straight.
Despite Saints’ struggles in 10th place in the standings, Clement anticipates a tough challenge against
Craig Levein’s team, as Rangers have won eight straight games—seven of which have come since the
winter break.
Naturally, the Belgian manager replied, “Yes.” The away games are invariably unique.
Teams are really driven to play against the Rangers because they know that the longer you go without a
loss in a string of games, the more determined your opponents are to end that run. The surface is
different from Ibrox.
