Craig Moore insists Todd Cantwell’s recent influence on two Rangers stars has been ‘crucial’

Craig Moore maintains that Todd Cantwell has had a “crucial” impact recently on two Rangers players.

For the Rangers, Todd Cantwell is undoubtedly back to playing his best football, and Craig Moore, a former Ibrox defender, knows it.

However, the Australian believes that because of Cantwell’s significant impact on the field, two Rangers players in particular have improved as a result of his recent play.

Cantwell didn’t score until Christmas Eve against Motherwell, but he has five goals in his last eight appearances in the Scottish Premiership, according to Transfermarkt.

Regretfully, a knee injury hindered his season’s start, and during games managed by him, Philippe Clement hasn’t hesitated to substitute the playmaker at halftime.

However, in the last few games, he has shown himself to be a tremendous asset for the Rangers, who appear to be in control of the title fight with Celtic.

According to FotMob, he is among the Premier League’s top attacking midfielders in terms of goals scored (5), shots taken (44), successful passes (624), and successful dribbles (24).

Speaking on The Go Radio Football Show, Moore is also certain that Cantwell’s form is helping Rangers players like Rabbi Matondo and John Lundstram because of his inventiveness and ability to locate gaps in the game.

Craig Moore remarks on significant Todd Cantwell

In response to a caller regarding Todd Cantwell’s recent performance for the Rangers, Craig Moore stated, “In my opinion, Cantwell is an incredible player.”

“I believe it riles people up more than anything else, so I’m happy to see that his game, in terms of his contribution now, seems to be more significant than the kind of taking a hit and milking it a little bit.

And his technical skill is evident in his vision, passes, combination play, and goals in his locker. He is currently a highly significant player.

Lundstram, for example, becomes much more upbeat when Cantwell plays in this way and in this frame of mind. Matondo is now much more upbeat.

“I think it’s important that he has this influence on teammates.” I believe it’s critical that the players stay healthy for the last stretch, not just Cantwell but many of them as well.

“We will have additional challenges when it comes to playing European football, but such challenges will only arise if we are successful and reach that point.

“But without a doubt, Cantwell has a significant impact. He can set up advantageous situations, get things started, and deliver as well as turn the defense into an offense.
