Bureaucratic Issues’ hit Rangers loanee as manager admits he is in the dark

Jose Cifuentes stuck in limbo after Rangers exit as manager reveals new issues.

According to Nicolas Larcamon, Jose Cifuentes is presently dealing with more documentation issues while on loan at

Cruzeiro, and it is uncertain when the Rangers loanee will be able to play for his new club.

According to the Scottish Sun (17 February), the Brazilian team’s manager stated that Jose Cifuentes is still facing bureaucratic hurdles.

“We don’t know when he’ll be able to play for the club, but we’re definitely working as hard as can to have this resolved. The sooner he starts playing for us, the better.”

According to the Scottish Sun, there was an issue with the midfielder’s registration when acquiring a work visa, although the delay is unrelated to Rangers.

Larcamon was confident that the Ecuadorian would become a permanent Cruzeiro signing, with the option to buy included in the year-long loan agreement. He did not intend to return to Ibrox.

Cifuentes caught in limbo after Rangers exit

Nothing has gone as planned for Cifuentes since leaving LAFC in the summer, with his move to Rangers proving to be a disappointment and the contingency plan becoming bogged down.

He was expected to make his debut in Brazil this weekend (February 18), but it appears that will not happen.

His new team is eager to have him, and he picked this transfer over other Ibrox exit alternatives, so it appears to be the greatest fit for both parties.

However, after struggling for football in Scotland, notably after Michael Beale was replaced by Philippe Clement, his wait continues in South America.

The Brazilian transfer window remains open until March 7 [Andy Newport, 1 February], but issues may arise due to Belo Horizonte’s carnival season.

However, if Larcamon and Cruzeiro are unsure when the matter will be resolved, it signals that something else may have gone wrong.
