Scottish Premiership chaos, Rangers loanee shines Clement will be happy

In his first transfer window since joining the team last month, Rangers manager Philippe Clement was faced with a number of important choices.

With the loan arrivals of attackers Oscar Cortes, Mohammed Diomande, and Fabio Silva, the Belgian did bolster his team. However, there was also movement in the opposite direction, when Adam Devine left on loan to join Motherwell, a rival team in the Scottish Premiership.

The Ibrox academy alumnus has also made an impression at his interim team, as the right-back has scored and provided an assist in his first three games.

His more advanced role has contributed to those goal involvements; on Wednesday, February 14, he scored his first goal for the team in a thrilling six-goal match against Aberdeen.

The Rangers loanee gave the visitors a 3-0 lead at Pittodrie in the 26th minute, but Dons manager Neil Warnock’s tactical changes allowed the home team to rally for a 3-3 draw.
During the game in Pittodrie, Gers manager Philippe Clement was busy coaching his own team from the sidelines at Ibrox. The team defeated Ross County 3-1.

The manager will have been happy with the massive three points against the Staggies that have leveled the score with bitter rivals Celtic, but he will also be happy with how swiftly Devine has adapted to life at Motherwell.

With a lengthy career ahead of him, the adaptable full-back appears fully capable of making an impression when he returns to Ibrox in the summer.

In other Rangers news, Dean Jones has called the match between the Gers and Celtic a “slugfest” based on his observations from the Scottish Premiership.
