‘He’s been fantastic’… Adam Idah says he’s already been very impressed by one Celtic man since joining.
Adam Idah, the new Celtic recruit, has been talking about his brief stay in Glasgow and has revealed who has already impressed him at the team.
With two goals and an assist in his first three games, the on-loan Norwich player has already made a strong impact on everyone.
Here, he also talks about how, since joining Celtic in January, the manager there, Brendan Rodgers, has already blown him away.
“We spoke briefly before I came and he came up with a plan and what he wanted me to do and how I can progress on my career,”
Idah stated [The Official Celtic FC Podcast].
And like I said, that was all I wanted to grow into. And according to the plan he gave me, it made perfect sense for me to come here.
“And given his track record of inspiring teams to succeed, all I wanted was for him to help players get better. Thus, he’s been outstanding.
Rodgers signed the 22-year-old striker as his second and final January acquisition. Despite the somewhat subdued reaction to his
arrival, the Ireland international has not disappointed anyone.
It was always going to be difficult coming from a poor Norwich team to Celtic, but it appears that Rodgers’ strategy is working this
season, as the Hoops fan base is witnessing on the field.
It appears that Idah, who has formed a respectable relationship with Kyogo Furuhashi, may play a surprising pivotal role in
Celtic’s attempt to retain the championship.
Idah’s remarks, however, highlight how well-liked Rodgers is among the team given his ongoing track record of helping young
players improve.
The Celtic supporters will be hoping that in addition to the fantastic linkup play he has built with Kyogo, Rodgers would
encourage and mentor Idah to start hammering in more goals. The games are coming thick and fast.
