Saints Add 3-Time Super Bowl Champion To Staff

Saints Add 3-Time Super Bowl Champion To Staff.

The New Orleans Saints have discovered a new outstanding run-game coordinator.

According to Jordan Schultz of Bleacher Report, they plan to sign veteran coach Rick Dennison.

Dennison is a highly recognized run-game coordinator noted for his ability to develop offensive linemen.

Dennison is familiar with Klint Kubiak, the Saints’ new offensive coordinator, as they worked together in Minnesota when Dennison was the Vikings’ offensive line coach.

The 65-year-old began his coaching career as an assistant with the Denver Broncos.

He later served as offensive coordinator for the Houston Texans and as quarterbacks coach for the Baltimore Ravens before returning to Mile High to become the Broncos’ offensive coordinator.

Dennison has also served as the Buffalo Bills’ offensive coordinator, the New York Jets’ offensive line coach and run game coordinator, and the Minnesota Vikings’ senior offensive assistant.

He’s won three Super Bowls in his career, and the Saints are hoping he and Kubiak can work their magic to rejuvenate this squad following a poor first season with Derek Carr at quarterback.

The NFC South is still wide open and up for grabs, and it’s difficult to imagine someone better equipped to fill this position than Rick Dennison.
