Blockbuster Trade Proposed Between Baltimore Ravens, New Orleans Saints.

An NFL analyst recently said that the New Orleans Saints could trade Alvin Kamara to the Baltimore Ravens during the offseason.

The offseason has officially begun for all 32 clubs, which means that each company will endeavor to devise ways to improve and win the Lombardi. For some teams, like the Baltimore Ravens, this entails going all-in on free agent signings and trades. Meanwhile, the New Orleans Saints may seek a long-term rebuild and contemplate trading away some of their aging veterans. These demands may coincide, resulting in an Alvin Kamara trade.

Alex Kay of Bleacher Report proposes this. In his most recent post, the NFL expert advises that the cap-strapped New Orleans Saints deal Alvin Kamara to the Baltimore Ravens as one of five moves that might assist the Chiefs avoid a three-peat. In this scenario, the Ravens acquire Kamara and the Saints get a 2024 seventh-round pick.

The Ravens were the greatest team throughout the regular season, but they were unable to defeat the Kansas City Chiefs when it counted the most. Baltimore’s offense scored only 10 points in the AFC Championship Game, despite strong defense performance. Alvin Kamara isn’t the same performer he once was, but a trade would significantly help the Ravens’ running back situation.

Last year, J.K. Dobbins was the team’s starting running back. However, the former second-round pick suffered a torn Achilles in Week 1, putting him on injured reserve. Gus Edwards took over and performed well, but is not a standout runner.

Despite the likelihood of both players being re-signed, Dobbins may never regain his previous level of play. Both players are free agents.

Running backs have historically been doomed by Achilles problems, and the Ohio State product hasn’t exactly been the healthiest player in the NFL. The Ravens would undoubtedly make the trade since it would solve their backfield problems with Alvin Kamara, but would the Saints?

Would the Saints Agree to This?

The New Orleans Saints would be better off accepting a rebuild from the outside looking in. The team is $82 million above the

salary limit, missed the playoffs the previous season, and will have to play Derek Carr for at least another season.

Rather than keeping their future mortgaged, they ought to transfer Alvin Kamara and try to make a run at it in 2025.

That may be the greatest course of action for the organization’s long-term future, but it’s unlikely to occur. Dennis Allen is facing criticism, and he won’t make it through another lackluster campaign.

This isn’t how the Saints operate, even if he had job security. They might be open to trading Alvin Kamara if they had a less expensive option available, but at this time they don’t.

Jamaal Williams had his worst-ever season in 2023 after leading the league in touchdowns in 2022.

In his debut season in New Orleans, the veteran managed just 2.9 yards per carry on average and managed just one controversial touchdown.Kendre Miller, a third-round selection, on the other hand, concluded his rookie campaign with just 156 yards on 41 carries.

It’s difficult to imagine the Saints consenting to a deal for Alvin Kamara given the lack of a viable alternative on the roster. Even though the transfer would free up $11.68 million in cap space for New Orleans if it were counted as a post-June 1st transaction, it’s unlikely to happen.
