Even though Karamoko Dembélé has only made ten first-team appearances for Celtic, his name is well-known among fans in Scotland and England’s south-east.
After rising through the ranks at Celtic Park, Dembélé was viewed as the next big thing. He gained prominence after making his Under-20 team debut at the age of 13, an extraordinary accomplishment that naturally increased Celtic fans’ hopes.

He became the youngest football player to ever play for a Scottish team in a European competition in December 2019, barely two months later.

The winger would play in 10 first-team games for Celtic in all, scoring one goal, before departing as a free agent in the summer of 2022.
Although he never quite lived up to expectations at Parkhead, it is undeniable that he was overhyped when he was younger.
The teenage player would get a four-year contract to play for French Ligue 1 team Brest, although he only made 17 appearances across all competitions in his rookie campaign.

In the summer, the team would let Dembélé to go on a season-long loan to League One team Blackpool.

The 20-year-old is clearly flourishing now that he has the opportunity to play regularly at first team level for the first time in his career thanks to the transfer to Bloomfield Road.

He has made 32 appearances for the Tangerines so far, tallying five goals and nine assists.He has established himself as a mainstay in Neil Critchley’s starting lineup, having made 22 starts across all competitions. Dembélé is starting to demonstrate why Celtic thought so highly of him when he was still a young adolescent, which is quite significant.
It’s easy to forget how young Dembélé is because he’s been around for so long. At the first team level, the 20-year-old is having a truly breakthrough season.
