Abdoulaye Doucoure fitness update shared from Finch Farm ahead of Everton v Crystal Palace
The news that Abdoulaye Doucoure was back in training on Thursday, February 15, has given Sean
Dyche a huge boost.
Since hobbling off during halftime of Everton’s 2-0 victory over Burnley on December 16, Doucoure has
only appeared in one game for the club.
The 31-year-old suffered a fresh injury setback on his return to the side when playing 90 minutes in the
0-0 draw with Aston Villa in 14 January.

However, Everton confirmed on their official website on Thursday (15 February) that Doucoure has
returned to training at Finch Farm.
Sean Dyche had previously said he is hopeful of having the midfielder back for Monday’s (18 February)
huge showdown with Crystal Palace.
That now seems likely to be the case as the Mali international has another training session or two to get
up to full speed in time.
Even though Doucoure is not a forward, his six goals this season have still put him as Everton’s top
scorer. Dominic Calvert-Lewin, who is tied with Jack Harrison for third place, is even less of a goal
scorer than Doucoure, but even so, Dyche has already seen what can happen if the player is brought back
too soon. Everton record without Abdoulaye Doucoure.
