Rangers Title Boost : Danilo uploads video clip of his injury recovery steps as return date confirmed
Glasgow Rangers striker Danilo has tweeted a video of himself doing weights as he continues his
rehabilitation from a severe knee injury.
The Brazilian striker’s first season in Scottish football has been marred by injury,
having suffered a face fracture against St Johnstone earlier this season.
After signing a reported £6 million agreement to join Rangers from Feyenoord,
the striker shown some of the quality that persuaded the Ibrox club to make the move.
However, after falling down early in a match against December,
the prospect of a serious knee injury looked to terminate Danilo’s season.
Danilo uploads an injury recuperation clip.
Now, the striker has continued to upload clips of his recuperation,
with the most recent video representing a significant step forward for the 24-year-old.
Bending his knee to lift weights in the gym, it’s evident Danilo is desperate to conquer the ailment,
and Rangers fans will forgive them for seeing the bright side in the brief video.
Rangers’ striker line has been the subject of considerable controversy moving into the second half of the
season,
with injuries to Danilo and Kemar Roofe leaving the club short up front.
Rangers’ decision not to sign a new striker, leaving Cyriel Dessers and Fabio Silva as the club’s primary
forwards,
has raised concerns about the January transfer window.
Rangers boss Philippe Clement has been downplaying the situation, implying that Roofe might return
soon.
The coach has previously stated that Danilo could be out for the season, except for the final weeks.
Rangers’ manager insists that everyone will take part.
Overall, the manager’s recent statements on players who play a minor role in the campaign are
intriguing, particularly in relation to Danilo.
The Rangers boss has not been afraid to make changes to his squad on a game-by-game basis,
and he believes that everyone has a role to play this season.
Even said, every single player on the squad must be prepared because fine margins and vital
contributions could make the difference in the title race.
“I have the confidence otherwise I would not do the changes and
I know it’s the only way to be ready for all the challenges that we face,” Clement went on to say.
“So I believe there are about 14 weeks left in the season, and if our season is outstanding,
there will be 24 games in that time frame, plus two international games for the internationals,
so we will have a game virtually every two days, so we need everyone to be prepared.
“And it’s critical to win things; sometimes a guy who hasn’t played all season and only gets five minutes
on the field might mean the difference between winning a trophy and not.
We’re getting everyone ready for the story,
so you’ll need to make modifications as well.
Danilo has made 21 appearances for Rangers since coming from Feyenoord, scoring six goals and
providing five assists.
