Philippe Clement’s men are three points adrift of the Hoops and two behind in the goal difference column ahead of kick-off.
A HUGE night might unfold at Ibrox as the Rangers attempt to win the championship by the time the full-time
whistle blows.
Playing at home against struggling Ross County in Govan, Philippe Clement and his team will play their final game in
hand over championship rivals Celtic. The Light Blues supporters will be closely watching Brendan Rodgers‘ team as
they attempt to seize control of the Scottish Premiership. At the top, they are currently leading by three points and
are two goals ahead of the opposition.
The Belgian has made quite the turnaround since taking over for Michael Beale. While everyone outside the team is
talking about Rangers and Celtic’s battle for the Premiership and how his team might win, Clement is making it clear
that he WON’T be checking the league table in any case. He stated: “No, what’s the use of looking at a league table on
day one, day eight, day 17, day 32? It’s all about finishing first after the last day. I’ve been looking at the table for the
past two to three days, and before that, I worked on the task for every minute I was awake in order to earn as many
points as I could. That’s known as managing the manageables.
The addition of Leon Balogun back to the training field has strengthened Rangers’ squad. Along with Connor
Goldson, the seasoned defender has become one of Clement’s most important players. After a violent collision with
Livingston that resulted in a face fracture, he returned to the field wearing a mask and may play in the Staggies game.
Ryan Jack, a teammate, won’t be named, though, as he continues his rehabilitation regimen behind the scenes.
Oscar Cortes and Mohamed Diomande both started the Scottish Cup victory over Ayr United, but Cyriel Dessers and
Fabio Silva have since switched roles as strikers. This is another decision that the Belgian manager must make. Borna
Barisic was also included in the starting lineup instead of Ridvan Yilmaz. Due to his red card against Aberdeen, Dujon
Sterling is still out of commission for the second of his two game suspension. Record Sport has examined possible
lineups for the Rangers against Ross County at Ibrox under the lights.
