It’s a privilege. After being rumoured to be moving to Liverpool, the West Ham man now reacts

Tim Steidten, the technical director of West Ham United, has responded to rumours that he would be joining Liverpool.

Although Steidten only moved to West Ham last summer, having left Bayer Leverkusen in March, he has made a strong start to his Premier League career.

Declan Rice finally left the London Stadium after a hectic couple of transfer windows under the direction of the German manager.

Additionally, Liverpool has been linked to a move for the former Leverkusen player as they get ready for life without Jurgen Klopp.

Speaking to Sky Sports Germany recently, Steidten acknowledged that being connected to a move to Anfield is a “honour.”

Steidten’s links to Liverpool

Steidten acknowledged, as reported by Florian Plettenberg, that he has not yet discussed a move to Merseyside with Liverpool.

The Hammers manager remarked, “I’ve heard that I should be on Liverpool’s list.” It’s an honour because it’s one of the largest clubs in the world. However, I have not heard from anyone at LFC as of yet.

“At West Ham, I normally feel really at ease. I was soon struck by how competitive this league is. We thus acquired the appropriate players during the most recent transfer windows. We can accomplish our ambitions because we have a great squad.

“I am excited to tackle the upcoming weeks and months leading up to the season’s conclusion. Naturally, we are already organising for the upcoming window. We shall see what the future holds.

At West Ham, Steidten handled a productive summer window as the team got ready for life without Rice.

James Ward-Prowse, Edson Alvarez, and Mohammed Kudus were among the players the Hammers signed.

It has already been suggested that Steidten might find it difficult to decline a transfer to Liverpool.
The 44-year-old has a respectable track record following his time spent at West Ham and Leverkusen.

It’s understandable why he’s being linked to a move to Anfield; after only a year, West Ham might find it difficult to hang on to their technical director.
