In less than a month, Bill O’Brien moved from Ohio State to Boston College.

Bill O’Brien was hired by the Ohio State Buckeyes last month as their new offensive coordinator, marking a major change for the team since head coach Ryan Day had intended to give up play-calling duties for the first time since joining Ohio State in 2017. However, it appears that the Buckeyes will require a new offensive coordinator after less than a month.

Bill O’Brien is now leaving Ohio State after only a few weeks on the job to become the next head coach of the Boston College Eagles after former head coach Jeff Hafley left to become the defensive coordinator with the Seattle Seahawks, according to a report from college football insider Pete Thamel of ESPN.

sources: A agreement to name Bill O’Brien as Boston College’s next head coach is being negotiated. In an X article, Thamel stated that a deal is anticipated soon, providing BC with a highly rated coach with vast NFL experience and strong local relationships. X was originally known as Twitter.

Since Day has made it very apparent that he intends to forego play-calling responsibilities this season, it stands to reason that Ohio State won’t need to look for a new offensive coordinator.
