If Rangers Had Brought In – Former Gers Star Explains Reason For Less Confidence

This Former Gers Star Explains Why He Would Have Been Less Confident If Rangers Had Brought In.

Rangers would have had a better chance of winning trophies, according to Gordon Dalziel, if they had signed a player like Lawrence Shankland or Bojan Miovski during the January transfer window.

If Rangers defeat Ross County by a three-goal margin at Ibrox tonight, they will take the top spot in the Scottish Premiership rankings.

Although the Glasgow giants did bolster their roster during the winter transfer window, many believe they should have bought a more experienced goal striker.

Dalziel said that Rangers have enough defensive strength to seriously pursue trophies in the second half of the season and that they can still continue to perform well for the remainder of the season.

The former Rangers player believes they would have had a better chance of winning a trophy in the upcoming months if they had signed a proven striker like Shankland or Miovski.

“I am not saying for one minute that Rangers can’t go on win the league, the Scottish Cup, or win in Europe,” Dalziel stated on Clyde 1’s Superscoreboard.

They have excellent players, and since Clement joined the team, they have played solid defense, which has given them a significant advantage, especially while playing away from home.

“The back is where you start when building a team; you let your creative players, midfielders, and forwards go about their business and win games.”

“But I would say we would have been much more confident about Rangers going and achieving something if they had brought, you know, the two names we keep saying—Miovski and Shankland.”

This season, Rangers will be hoping they have enough to push beyond Celtic’s domination in Scotland.
