Pearson’s post-Super Bowl mock draft for the 2024 NFL (Vol. 3)
With the Chicago Bears controlling the draft in Detroit, the first mock post-Super Bowl for the 2024 NFL draft was held as the offseason got began.
The NFL’s offseason has officially started with the Kansas City Chiefs defeating the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl LVIII. The Chicago Bears, who have the first overall pick in the 20242 NFL draft, are in control of the draft as we enter a new league year.
For the second year in a row, the Bears possess the first overall pick, but this time around things are a little different.
Carolina, who had the worst record in the league in the end, is the team that Chicago will chose. Even though the Bears gave the Panthers the pick in the previous draft, everyone anticipates that, barring any unforeseen events over the next few months, they will select first this year. To start a new chapter in the history of the team, Chicago must decide whether to choose a quarterback like Caleb Williams or Drake Maye or build around Justin Fields. In Detroit, they will be the topic of conversation until the draft in April, no matter what they do.
But there are other plots besides the Bears.
In the first round, how many quarterbacks will be selected? Where are they going? Are the offensive tackles as successful as the defensive ones? And what about this excellent class of wide receivers?
The lengthy process building up to the draft, which still includes the Indianapolis Scouting Combine and Pro Days, will provide answers to those questions in due course. However, as we enter a new league year, I’ve made my third NFL mock draft available, this time include a version from after the Super Bowl.
