Charlie Mulgrew has attacked Rangers forward Cyriel Dessers, stating that the 29-year-old is not clinical enough in front of goal.
The former Celtic centre back expressed agreement with a caller who expressed concerns over Rangers’ number nine position when speaking on Clyde 1 Superscoreboard on February 13.
The fan expressed worry that the team failed to sign a new striker in January and implied that Dessers is not a guy who will “bag you goals in the biggest games.”
Mulgrew went on, “Dessers seems to me like he needs three or four chances before he can score.
“I don’t think Dessers will score if they hit the balls over the top in behind for him, and I think they missed a trick there by not signing Lawrence Shankland or Bojan Miovski.”
