Penn State’s James Franklin details the recruiting process of Ohio State transfer WR Julian Fleming
The last time James Franklin talked to the media was after Penn State’s Peach Bowl loss to Ole Miss, which exposed one of the
team’s major weaknesses in 2023. The wide receivers, who had no catches until the fourth quarter, were ineffective.
Just a few days after the Peach Bowl, Penn State added a familiar face to its wide receiver lineup. On January 3, former Southern
Columbia standout and Ohio State receiver Julian Fleming committed to the Nittany Lions. He enrolled and was notified on January 11.
Ohio State has announced that eight football players will be attending the NFL Combine later this month.
The Combine is a pre-draft workout for future NFL draft picks.
The following players are slated to travel to Indianapolis for the four-day event at Lucas Oil Stadium:
- WR Marvin Harrison Jr.
- RB Miyan Williams
- TE Cade Stover
- OL Matthew Jones
- DT Mike Hall Jr.
- LB Tommy Eichenberg
- LB Steele Chambers
- SAF Josh Proctor
The Buckeyes will begin on-field exercises with Hall, Chambers, and Eichenberg on February 29, followed by Proctor and Stover on March 1 and Jones on March 3.
Marvin Harrison Jr., the lone current expected OSU first-round pick, will work out on March 2 alongside Miyan Williams.
In the last nine seasons, OSU has sent a national record 77 players to the combine.
The NFL Combine is set to take place from February 29 to March 3.
