Ohio State football: Marvin Harrison Jr. headlines long list of Buckeyes headed to NFL Scouting Combine.
Ohio State football has eight players going to the NFL scouting combine. Marvin Harrison Jr. tops the list.
Ohio State football is sending a large number of players to the NFL combine this offseason. Eleven Warriors reports that former Buckeyes wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. will be attending a scouting event.
Many talented Ohio State players left the program after the 2023 season to enter the NFL draft.
Several players have been invited to the combine, including Marvin Harrison Jr., Miyan Williams, Cade Stover, Matt Jones, Mike
Hall, Tommy Eichenberg, Steele Chambers, and Josh Proctor. Several professional football analysts believe Harrison Jr. will be
one among the first picks in the NFL draft. He was a finalist for the Heisman Trophy in 2023, but lost to LSU’s Jayden Daniels.
Ohio State football enjoyed a solid season in 2023, but lost to Michigan in a game that cost the Buckeyes the Big Ten
Championship. Harrison Jr. finished the game with 118 yards receiving on five catches and one touchdown.
The receiver contributed significantly to Ohio State’s success this year. Harrison Jr. concluded the season with 1,211 yards
receiving and 14 touchdowns on 67 receptions. In 2022, Harrison Jr. had ten more receptions, but only roughly 50 more receiving yards.
The NFL combine assesses athletes’ speed, agility, and other qualities to aid in scouting purposes. It will be place in Indianapolis from February 26 to March 4.
Ohio State football concluded the season 11-2, dropping its final two games in the Cotton Bowl to Michigan and Missouri. Harrison Jr. chose not to participate in the school’s bowl game to focus on his draft preparations.
