Jarrad Brantwhaite cost Everton after what he did v Man City – Garth Crooks

Everton lost Jarrad Brantwhaite due to his actions against Man City – Garth Crooks.

After Everton’s 2-0 loss to Manchester City at The Etihad, Garth Crooks criticized Jarrad Branthwaite, saying he cost Sean Dyche’s team the match.

The BBC Sport analyst said that although Branthwaite and James Tarkowski played well for the majority of the game, they were ultimately responsible for the defeat.

Though it is unfair to blame Branthwaite for it, Erling Haaland ultimately made the difference by capitalizing on a little distraction from the Everton defender to secure the game at 2-0.

In his BBC Team of the Week essay on February 12, Crooks stated, “Everton made Manchester City work for the points, but it was errors by arguably their two best defenders on the day, James Tarkowski and Jarrad Branthwaite, that cost them the game.”

Was Everton Jarrad Branthwaite’s fault?

It is unfair to hold Tarkowski and Branthwaite responsible for the loss in Manchester because the best striker in the division had two outstanding performances that sealed the deal, not defensive blunders.
The youthful center-back has received great marks for his performances and has consistently been one of the top defenders at Goodison Park, if not in the Premier League, this season. However, he usually makes one error and is held responsible for the loss.

The England international forward, who has failed to score in 18 appearances, might be more to blame for Everton’s problems than the 21-year-old defender, who has shown courage this season when others haven’t.

Despite giving Dominic Calvert-Lewin advice on how to improve his goal-scoring slump, Alan Shearer appears to have avoided criticism in other ways since his injury comeback, just when Dyche needed him most.

Michael Ball is concerned about one Everton star following recent developments, according to other Everton news.
