Everton Wants To Sign This On-Loan Winger Permanently: Is This A Wise Decision For All Parties?

Journalist Phil Hay asserted in a recent edition of The Square Ball that Everton is keen to buy winger Jack Harrison, who is currently on loan, permanently in the summer. “Obviously not if they go down, but Everton would be keen to keep Jack Harrison,” Hay stated. But, I believe that Harrison will leave and they will profit financially from that one because there are other mid-table Premier League teams that would likely be interested in signing him as well.

Harrison is enjoying a decent loan spell at the Merseyside club as he has managed to catch the eye at times with his performances on the right side of Sean Dyche’s attack. The 27-year-old has banged in four goals and grabbed three assists in 25 matches for the Toffees this season across all competitions.

The English talent has been a good performer out in the wide areas based on his average of 1.2 shots, 1.1 key passes and 1.0 dribbles per 90 minutes in the Premier League. However, he needs to find a way to improve his ball distribution after making just 69.9% of his attempted passes in the English first division (stats via whoscored).

Everton Are Eager To SIgn Harrison Permanently Next Summer: Good Move For Everyone Involved?

Harrison can create some tempting opportunities for his teammates in and around the opponent’s penalty box with his decent ball handling skills. He has the ability to shoot the ball powerfully from a distance and contribute by scoring and setting up goals from the wings.

The English wide man needs to work on strengthening his linking play on the offensive end of the pitch, though. Harrison can play as a left-sided wide player if instructed to do so, although his primary role has been that of a right-winger. One of the top names on Everton manager Sean Dyche’s roster right now is the English wing wizard. Therefore, it makes sense that the Toffees would attempt to extend his loan agreement this summer.
