BBC analysts called Everton “messy” and “worrying” in light of the team’s poor performance and points deduction decision.

Gary Lineker and Alan Shearer have criticized Everton for their “messy” situation, pointing out that another point loss could follow their appeal against the first one.

Lineker emphasized Everton’s seven-game Premier League losing skid, suggesting that their current problems are compounded by the ongoing points deduction issue.

In an interview with The Rest is Football podcast, Lineker stated, “A worrying run of form, really, after having a particularly good spell after the points deduction, they rallied at that point.”

“They might receive some points back, but they might also be eliminated again, in my opinion. The situation is absolutely disorganized,” Shearer continued.

The result of Everton’s appeal against the Premier League’s 10-point deduction for violating the Profit and Sustainability regulations will soon be known.

Pundits are generally upbeat, speculating that Everton could pick up some points. According to reports, the decision will be made public in the middle of February, and as that date draws near, excitement is growing. According to a different report, the choice ought to be taken before to their matchup with Crystal Palace.
