Little Bit Rusty – Rangers Star Makes Team-mate Admission
Mohamed Diomande‘s performance against Ayr United, according to Rangers defender Connor Goldson, made it obvious that he is a little bit out of form.
During the winter transfer window, the midfielder was quickly signed by the Gers on loan, with a summer permanent stay required under the terms of the agreement.
Diomande arrived from FC Nordsjaelland of Denmark. Before moving to Ibrox, he played in the Europa Conference League against Fenerbahce at the end of November.
Goldson believes it is evident that the midfield player is a touch rusty after seeing him play for just over an hour against Ayr.
“It was [Diomade’s] first game since November so probably a little bit tired and rusty,” Goldson said to BBC Scotland.
The Rangers defender is happy with what he has observed of Diomande after seeing the midfielder up close during practice.
“Dio is training and making progress.”
This week, Rangers will play struggling Ross County at home in the Scottish Premiership, and everyone will be watching to see if Diomande gets extended playing time.
