LASTEST NEWS – Mohamed Diomande hilariously trolls Rangers teammate Leon Balogun after Ivory Coast AFCON triump
In the dressing room this morning, following the conclusion of the AFCON Final on Sunday night, it was a contentious subject. Mohamed Diomande, Leon Balogun’s teammate on the Rangers, teased the new recruit after he showed up for training wearing an Ivory Coast shirt.
As Nigerian international Balogun saw the Super Eagles lose in the AFCON Final, it was a contentious topic in the dressing room. After a shocking start to the tournament that included a group stage loss to the same opposition and a 4-0 defeat, the Ivory Coast came from behind to lift the trophy in spectacular fashion. Two former Rangers stars, Calvin Bassey and Joe Aribo, played in the match, but they were unable to bring glory to their nation.
They overcame their early setbacks and manager’s dismissal to win the competition. But when Balogun joked around with new signing Diomande, it was all still too early. “Look at this one, just signing and thinks he can mock me like that!” Balogun captioned a video that he uploaded to Instagram. I’m not giving you a break today, buddy—look at him [laughs]. God, I’m so sorry. He introduced Twitter to the changing area. Take a look at this man. As long as you can, bro, enjoy it. I am back today, so you know, we are training in a little while. Get your shin guards out.”
