writing is on the wall’–over Ibrox future Rangers star heading for transfer exit door as he’s told

Borna Barisic, whose contract with Rangers expires at the end of the season, has been told that the “writing is on the wall” regarding his future with the club. The left-back’s deflected effort on Saturday helped the Light Blues defeat Ayr United 2-0, securing a spot in the Scottish Cup quarterfinals for manager Philippe Clement following a comfortable last 16 match. Rumors surrounding the 31-year-old this season have linked him away from Glasgow, and Ridvan Yilmaz has begun to gradually work his way into the starting XI.

razillian left-back Jefte is reportedly being considered for a summer move after a winter pursuit was unsuccessful. Barisic joined Rangers in 2018 and has since won every major Scottish award once. He also was a member of the team that qualified for the 2022 Europa League final.

During Viaplay’s broadcast of the Scottish Cup match against the Honest Men, his future came up for discussion, and analyst Stephen Craigan thinks that Barisic’s departure this summer seems certain.”It appears that Borna Barisic is headed for the exit door,” stated the former international for Northern Ireland.

Since Philippe Clement entered the game, Ridvan Yilmaz, who is not under contract, has started most of the games. It’s written in the walls.

“That being said, you still have an obligation to play when you get the chance. Borna Barisic possesses a fantastic left foot and has shown to be a dependable performer.

“He is doing well, but where will he be in the long run? He will undoubtedly attempt to assert that objective.”
