Saints Expected to Hire 49ers’ Klint Kubiak As Offensive Coordinator, per Reports.
The New Orleans Saints are expected to finalize a deal to make San Francisco 49ers passing game specialist Klint Kubiak the
team’s new offensive coordinator, according to ESPN and NFL Network.
Kubiak’s final game with the NFC champs will be Super Bowl LVIII on Sunday. He will be replaced by former Saints offensive coordinator Pete Carmichael.
This was Kubiak’s first season with the offensively talented 49ers, who finished fourth in the NFL in net passing yards (4,384) and
second in touchdown passes (33). He has been coaching in the NFL since 2013, beginning with the Minnesota Vikings.
After that, he worked as an assistant for the Denver Broncos in 2022 before relocating to San Francisco.
Kubiak is the son of former Broncos head coach Gary Kubiak, who led the team to victory in Super Bowl 50.

The Saints fired Carmichael after averaging 23.6 points (ninth in the NFL) and 337.2 yards (14th in the NFL) per game.
The club finished 9-8 and missed the playoffs. Kubiak will coach his final game for the 49ers on Sunday, with kickoff at 6:30 p.m. ET on CBS.
