Manager raises stakes with bold claim about £8m-rated 22-goal Rangers-linked striker

Neil Warnock raises Bojan Miovski stakes with bold claim amid Rangers & Celtic links.

Aberdeen boss Neil Warnock has referred to Rangers-linked Bojan Miovski as “the best” striker he has ever coached.

The temporary Pittodrie manager spoke after the Macedonian striker, 24, scored a match-winning double against Bonnyrigg Rose in the Scottish Cup.

During the post-match interview, Warnock praised the on-form striker despite his dissatisfaction with the Dons’ performance.

Bojan Miovski has 22 goals this season, and Neil Warnock considers him the best frontman he’s ever worked with.

Neil Warnock on Bojan Miovski

Bojan Miovski had scored against Celtic and Rangers in consecutive meetings leading up to the Scottish Cup clash.

On Neil Warnock’s home debut as Aberdeen manager, the double saved the club’s blushes and exorcised the ghosts of last season’s defeat to lowly Darvel.

When it came to full-time, all of the attention was on Bojan Miovski, with Neil Warnock’s comments further adding to the hitman’s popularity.

“What can you say about him (Bojan Miovski)?” Neil Warnock stated. “He is only a top finisher.

“I’ve always struggled with strikers if I’m honest, all through my career.

“I’ve been good at goalies and centre-halves and midfielders, but never really with a striker.

“It’s ironic isn’t it coming to this stage of my career I’ve got probably the best one I’ve ever had.”

Rangers linked to Aberdeen striker

Given that Aberdeen is Neil Warnock’s 19th managerial job, Bojan Miovski deserves high recognition.

The Aberdeen striker’s future has been linked to Rangers and Celtic, leading to speculation about a potential transfer.

Miovski, who is only 24, mentioned both sides of the Old Firm and said he was “happy” to see them in the running.

Rangers may face a striker reshuffle this summer, with Kemar Roofe out of contract and Fabio Silva’s loan coming to an end.

Despite reports of an £8 million valuation for the Macedonian striker, it appears that Rangers may be overly optimistic in their pursuit.

Neil Warnock has recently raised the forward’s transfer status with his “best” ever boasts.
