Jose Cifuentes Rangers return chances rated as Cruzeiro boss sends bold message.

The out-of-favour midfielder secured a loan move to Cruzeiro earlier this week.

Cruzeiro’s manager Nicolas Larcamon feels Jose Cifuentes has played his final game for Rangers.

The 24-year-old Ecuadorian midfielder joined Ibrox from MLS club LAFC in the summer, but has failed to settle in

Scotland.Cifuentes made only 14 starts for the Light Blues, despite dismissed manager Michael Beale touting the £1.2 million

signing as a game changer. Cifuentes, who was deemed surplus to needs by Philippe Clement, was loaned out to Cruzeiro earlier this week.

The Belo Horizonte club, which is funded by Real Madrid icon Ronaldo, has the option to sign Cifuentes in the summer, and

manager Larcamon believes this will happen. He stated: “The transaction is finalized. We have the option of purchasing Jose

Cifuentes at the end of his loan, and I am confident that will happen. He is a very complete player who will contribute

significantly to the club.

“Jose has numerous strengths in his game. He is very comfortable on the ball and will also offer aggression to the team.

He will greatly benefit our midfield. He will be a valuable addition to the squad, and we aim to get him on board as soon as possible.”
