Dan Plumley has stated that Rangers took advantage of the remaining Brazilian transfer window to finalize Jose Cifuentes’ move.
The football finance specialist stated that if the opportunity arises, there is no reason why Rangers should not take it, given the good business being handled at Ibrox.
Cifuentes will join Cruzeiro on an initial loan with the option to buy. He will present for a physical in the next days, with the window open until March 7.
He told Ibrox News that he believes it’s important to seize opportunities.
“You can look at this in the context of Rangers and the Brazilian market, as well as the Saudi market and how the European market differs from the Premier League and Scottish windows.
“If you have the opportunity, why not take it?
“Of course, it’s got to be right for all parties, but it opens up an opportunity that is not there for other clubs, so if you can gain a leap that way and if it makes sense, it’s good business to be able to do that if you need to.”
