Philippe Clement fires back at Scott Brown in Rangers quip
When Philippe Clement replied to Scott Brown’s joke regarding the Ibrox side, he expressed his respect for everyone who supports the Rangers.
The former Celtic captain returns to a well-known location on Saturday when his team plays Ayr United in the Scottish Cup.
And it was Clement who ignited the verbal spat following his team’s victory over Aberdeen, explaining that the League Cup holders were up against a team whose management had little respect for Rangers.
In his pre-game press conference, Brown responded in a lighthearted manner, saying that the 49-year-old could not be further from the truth.
“I have a lot of love for Rangers,” he declared. For me, it is all in the past. It is no longer there. We acknowledge that we are the underdogs and that “as long as I don’t rise to anything, we should be okay.”
Clement then resigned after hearing this: “I’ve read that he adores the Rangers. I adore everyone who like Rangers. That may be incredibly beneficial for us both off-screen as well.”
