Why Not’ – John Hartson makes ‘Confident’ Rangers quadruple admission in Celtic title verdict

John Hartson shares ‘confident’ Rangers quadruple admission in new Celtic title verdict

Rangers may defeat Celtic to the Scottish Premiership title this season and even win a famous treble under Philippe Clement, according to John Hartson.

The Light Blues are presently three points behind Brendan Rodgers’ Hoops with a game in hand, and they remain in contention for both the Europa League and the Scottish Cup, having previously won the Viaplay Cup this season.

Clement has said that he wants to win every trophy he can this season, and Hartson feels the Gers can achieve on all fronts, but he is not ready to write Celtic off just yet.

On The Go Radio Football Show (7 February, 30:30), he stated: “They can win everything, they’re still in Europe, and they’re doing well in Europe.” They still lead the league; they’ve merely clawed back a points deficit.

“They play Ayr United in the Scottish Cup this weekend, so they have the possibility to win everything.

“Whether or not they do it, keep in mind that Celtic have won the league the previous two seasons. But, why not? He’s certainly confident enough to say that in public, but I don’t think his players would mind.

Rangers are currently in a position to win everything, as Hartson said, but it does not guarantee that they will. The Gers are currently enjoying a terrific run of form, and it would be foolish to get ahead of themselves at this point in the season.

They hope to remain competitive and pick up where they left off in Europe in 2023, but there is still a lot of football to be played. The tile race is expected to be close and unpredictable for some time.
