Rangers ‘maintain contact’ with highly-rated Brazilian transfer target after failed attempt to sign him
After a successful January transfer window, Rangers added Oscar Cortes, Mohamed Diomande, and Fabio Silva to bolster their squad.
However, the signing of highly-rated left defender Jefte from Brazilian team Fluminense was the one transfer that the Gers were unable to complete.

According to Gipedo, the Brazilian team declined to pay the £500,000 that the Cypriot powerhouses demanded in order to terminate the temporary swap early. The 20-year-old is also alleged to have tried to exert pressure by skipping training.
It is now anticipated that the 20-year-old would stay in Cyprus until the end of the campaign in order to support his team’s league title push. at three goals and four assists in 19 league games, Jefte has shown his promise and was having a great season at APOEL before the transfer drama.
