The bookmakers now favor Rangers to defeat Celtic for the title.

There has been a shift in the outright market to win the Premiership this season.

Rangers, with William Hill, are currently the favorites to win the championship following their victory over Aberdeen last night.

With the win, Philippe Clement‘s team tied Celtic for the most points in the table; the current champions lead only on goal differential.

Tonight at Easter Road, Brendan Rodgers’ club will play Hibernian with the goal of leading by three points after one more game.

Although there is still a genuine competition for the crown, the Rangers presently enjoy the advantage in the odds.

At 4/5, they are currently the slight favorites, with Celtic odds at 10/11.

At the beginning of the season, Rangers were a 3/1 favorite to win the league; but, with only one loss in the league since September, Clement’s team is now the favorite for the first time this year.

William Hill’s representative, Lee Phelps, stated: “It’s hardly surprising that the two Glasgow teams are the only ones competing for the Scottish Premiership, but Rangers have elevated themselves to the top of the discussion following their victory against Aberdeen last night.

“There has been a change in our outright winner market, with Rangers becoming our 4/5 favorites to win the league—the first time they have topped Celtic in the odds this season—while the Buoys are just marginally behind at 10/11 for a third straight crown.

“It is not surprising that both Glasgow sides are odds-on, as Hearts trail the top two teams by 13 points. Over the rest of the season, this market is likely to fluctuate and shift.”

The Rangers will visit Ross County at Ibrox in midweek to play their game in hand over Celtic.
