Man City vs Everton team news: three players out and trio doubtful for Premier League clash – gallery
Everton will play against Manchester City on Saturday (12.30 GMT).
The Toffees will face the current Premier League winners at the Etihad Stadium, making them a huge underdog.
Sean Dyche’s team had two good results last week. Despite a depleted roster, they earned a goalless draw against Fulham and a 2-
2 draw against Tottenham Hotspur at Goodison Park, thanks to Jarrad Branthwaite’s stoppage-time equaliser.
Nonetheless, Everton remains in the Premier League relegation zone, having received a 10-point deduction for violating financial
rules and awaiting the outcome of the appeal process.
City, meanwhile, moved two points closer to the top of the league with a 3-1 win over Brentford. Pep Guardiola’s side has a chance
to go top if they win three points against the Blues.
Everton did, however, win a gritty 1-1 draw in the match last season, and they also showed good character in a 3-1 loss at
Goodison Park in December, with City offered a golden opportunity through a dubious penalty awarded when the game was tied at one goal apiece.
