James Tavernier gives Philippe Clement credit for the Rangers’ comeback.

Ames Tavernier claimed that Rangers had put more pressure on Premiership leaders Celtic as a result of Philippe Clement’s heightened effort.

Since replacing Michael Beale as manager of the Govan team in October of last year, the Belgian has won the Via play Cup and revitalized the team.

The Light Blues tied the Hoops at three points after a hard-fought 2-1 victory against Aberdeen at home on Tuesday. The Gers still have a game in hand and will have the opportunity to close the deficit to three points when they play Hibernian on Wednesday.

The Rangers captain is happy with his team’s development.

We’re in a great position now that the manager has us in it, Tavernier stated.

“You can see that the training ground is becoming more intense behind the scenes based on the performances we’re putting in every week.”

As a team, we’re developing, and it’s positive that we can still do better in some areas.

However, we are expanding. We had to score three points last night, regardless of how we accomplished it, in order to advance to the next round.

“The squad is full with amazing characters. All that needed to be done was arrive at halftime and simply reset.

We were aware that although we let up a soft goal, we played excellently with the ball and thwarted their opportunities.

Therefore, all we had to do was keep asking questions and push forward in the second half, which is exactly what we did.

“However, the gaffer has brought in a real mentality, where he demands perfection from us as a team and on the training field, and we’re delivering that and growing closer with his ideas as we go from strength to strength.”

Tavernier observed the joy at the conclusion of the match when Rangers, following substitution Dujon, had 10 men remaining.

Eight tense minutes of added time were followed by Sterling’s dismissal in the 88th minute.

Tavernier remarked, “I think the fans can tell how hard we’re working and how good we are.”

It always coexists harmoniously. We certainly need to give it our best on stage if we want the audience to support us and be on our side, and I thought we did a really decent job.

“For the goals, we had the right guys at the right times. In my opinion, we did a good job controlling the ball. We know we can do better, of course, and we lose a goal, but aside from that, we scarcely offered them any opportunities.

“However, I thought we played well throughout the game, especially after we were down to 10 men.”
